Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the Church Slavonic language in the legacy of Father Pavel Florensky. This problem has both a historical and biographical dimension and a purely linguistic one. The determining factors of this attitude are the position of confessor Florensky in relation to the Church Slavonic language, the name-Slavonic disputes, the Renovationist movement, as well as the idea of Father Paul that the temple action is a synthesis of arts, in which the Church Slavonic language plays a key role.
