Irmos of 7th Song of the First Canon of Holy Pentecost in Church Slavonic (theological and lexical-semantic analysis)

Abstract

This article presents a theological and lexical-semantic analysis of the irmos of the seventh ode of the first canon of Pentecost in Church Slavonic, which consists primarily in the progressive structural and semantic clarification of the text.

The analysis uses translations into Russian by priest Mikhail Zheltov, E. Lovyagin, M. Skaballanovich and others, and also refers to the original text of the Triodion in Greek.

As a result, a possible version of the structural and semantic clarification is presented for a better understanding by the modern listener of worship.
