Features of the Use of the Treatise “On the Three Images of Attention and Prayer” in the Writings of St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov)
Abstract
This article examines how the medieval treatise “On Three Images of Attention and Prayer” by pseudo-Simeon the New Theologian is reflected in the written legacy of the outstanding theologian of the 19th century and a representative of the Russian Hesychast tradition, St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov). The article is a modest contribution to understanding the priceless legacy of St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov).
